Green Mountain Escape

Join us for a long weekend in southern Vermont riding around the Green Mountains. We’ll be staying at the Gray Ghost Inn, Rte 100 West Dover VT., on Thursday through Saturday (7/31 - 8/3/2025). We had our Northeast Fall Rally at the Gray Ghost in 2021, and a small group of us went back the following year for a long summer weekend event. I enjoyed my stays there so much, I was thinking that it was time to go back again.

I contacted the Gray Ghost to arrange these dates for us, and they offered me a Group rate of $135/night plus tax for any style room. A full breakfast is included each morning of your booked stay. The Gray Ghost has 27 rooms and will be holding (12) for us on the dates listed, but if we need more they can accommodate us as long as we don’t wait too long before booking. The Inn has several rooms that can accommodate 2, 3, and 4 guests, if people want to save $$$ by sharing a room with COG'er friends. Contact your friends to coordinate room sharing then call the Inn and book your rooms. Room types can be found on the Inn’s website to give you an idea of what they have before you call.

The Gray Ghost is under new ownership since 2023 by Cary and Eamond Duane, and they have been updating the Inn since they took it over. Here’s a list of what they have done so far: New pillows and bedding in all 27 rooms (last year). Mattresses are only about 2 years old in every room. New bathrooms in 17 of our 27 rooms. New flooring in 17 of our 27 rooms. New Lobby mural and Lobby cushions (last year). From their website, it also appears that they have a new Lounge area and Game Room. The outdoor pool will be open and ready for us, and if you’re not into swimming, there’s always sitting around fire pit out back.

Join us for the full 3-day weekend, (ride home Sunday), or if you can’t make it on Thursday, come ride Vermont on Friday and Saturday. If interested in attending, book your rooms a.s.a.p., cause the Inn fills up fast by Car and other Motorcycle Groups over the summer. Registration/Fees

There are no registration fees for this event. However, if you're planning to attend, we are asking everyone to register online so we have an idea of how many people are attending.
