Highlighs of this, the first segment of our National Rally:
The Lodge:
- Cedar Breaks Lodge is a full service 'destination' facility.
- Located on the premises are a restaurant, cafe, and bar & grill.
Additionally, there is a mercantile/gift shop.
- We will have segregated parking in their underground garage, as
well as a location for bike washing.
- For the ladies, the Lodge has a full service day spa, everything
from massage to facials to aromatherapy.
The Area:
- Brian Head is located in the southwest corner of Utah in the mountains
above Cedar City.
- Brian Head is a ski resort community at approximately 9000 feet.
Events:
- Sunday morning wrench session, brakes, valves, and?? Church of COG.
- Monday morning safety skills session
- Jay Tullis, owner of Progressive Suspension, will be giving a presentation
on suspension tuning prior to the banquet.
Things to see and do:
- Within a one hour ride are three National
Parks (Zion, Bryce, Grand Staircase) and Cedar Breaks National Monument.
- Within two hours are Capitol Reef,
Lake Powell and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
- Activities off the bike include mountain biking - bikes are available
from the Lodge
- Ride the ski lift to the top of Brian Head Mtn. (11,300 feet) for
outstanding Utah vistas.
- Jeep tours of the back country
- First class fly fishing
- Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City
- And . . . . the roads!
