Two-day Fastest-Shortest Option.
1503 miles, 23 hours, mostly Interstate.
A good IBA SS1000, BB, or BBG candidate.
- Cedar City UT - I-15 north to I-70 - I-70 east through Denver CO
to Goodland KS (approximate midpoint)
- Overnight
- I-70 east to I-35 at Salina KS
- I-35 south to Wichita KS to US-412 (Cimarron Turnpike)
- US-412 east to Tulsa OK to Springdale AR to Harrison AR to Mountain

If you have never ridden a 10/24 and really want to earn an IronButt
SaddleSore 1000 award, ride to Salina, Kansas, before stopping for the
night. That would be a 1010-mile ride, moderately easy because of the
freeway driving.

Three-day Rocky Mountain Open.
1610 miles, 29 hours. Interstate with two-lane Colorado loop.
Not as fast as the first routes, but includes far more scenery and winding
roads.
- Cedar City UT - I-15 north to I-70.
- I-70 east to Grand Junction. Continue east on I-70 to CO-65.
- CO-65 to Mesa, then south over Grand Mesa to CO-92.
Lots of curves and great "forever" views off the mesa both to the north
and then to the south.
- CO-92 east to Hotchkiss, then 10 miles south to Crawford.
Home of Joe Cocker's Mad Dog Ranch and Fountain Cafe. Get a free pin

- CO-92 north to Hotchkiss.
- East on CO-133 past Paonia, over McClure Pass.
Just over McClure pass could detour east 7 miles to Marble to view the
marble mill and quarry.
- Continue north on CO-133 to Carbondale and CO-82.
This section of the route includes some of the best sweepers and curves
in Colorado. CO-133 along the Crystal River is some of the most scenic
too.
- CO-82 east to Aspen, over Independence Pass, to Twin Lakes, to US-24.
This road has a little more traffic but the scenery is outstanding.
Tops out at over 12,000 feet elevation.
- US-24 south to Buena Vista, then east at Johnson Village to Colorado
Springs.
Near Manitou Springs you could detour up the Pikes Peak Highway. Crushed
granite roadway, easily traveled on a Concours if you are careful on
the loose surface on the switchbacks. This road tops out at 14,110 feet,
second-highest Concours-able road in Colorado after Mt. Evans Highway.
- US-24 on east to Limon CO and I-70.
- I-70 east to Salina KS and I-35.
- I-35 south to Wichita KS to US-412 (Cimarron Turnpike).
- US-412 east to Tulsa OK. Continue on US-412 into Arkansas to Springdale,
Harrison, and Mountain Home.

Three-day Utah Canyonlands Open.
1696 miles, 30 hours. Interstate with two-lane Utah loop.
Like route 2, it's a little longer than route 1, but includes more of
the best of Utah.
- Cedar City UT - UT-14 east to Long Valley Jct. and US-89.
- US-89 north to UT-12.
- UT-12 east to Escalante and Torrey and UT-24.
UT-12 may be the best motorcycling road in all of Utah.
- UT-24 east to Hanksville and then northeast to I-70.
- I-70 east to US-191.
- US-191 south to Moab and UT-128.
- UT-128 northeast to I-70.
A scenic road that winds right alongside the Colorado River.
- I-70 east through Denver CO to Salina KS and I-35.
- I-35 south to Wichita KS to US-412 (Cimarron Turnpike).
- US-412 east to Tulsa OK. Continue on US-412 into Arkansas to Springdale,
Harrison, and Mountain Home.

Three+ day Mid-America Open.
1472 miles, 32 hours. 1/3 Interstate and 2/3 two-lane.
This is a long route, but if you want to see America and avoid the interstate,
it's the way to go.
- Cedar City UT - I-15 north to I-70.
- I-70 east to Grand Junction CO and US-50.
- US-50 south and east through Colorado to Montrose, Gunnison, Monarch
Pass, Salida, Pueblo, and Lamar.
- US-50 east through Kansas to Garden City, Dodge City, and Pratt and
US-281.
- US-281 south to Medicine Lodge and US-160.
- US-160 east through Kansas to Wellington, Winfield, Independence,
and US-169.
- US-169 south to KS-96.
- KS-96 east to Oswego to Alt US-69.
- Alt US-69 south to KS-66 (old Route 66).
- KS-66 east to Joplin MO to I-44.
- I-44 east to Springfield and US-65.
- US-65 south to US-160.
- US-160 east to Walnut Shade, Forsyth, and Isabella and MO-5.
- MO-5 south to Mountain Home AR.

Now, this route really avoids the Interstate and includes some great Arizona
and Colorado scenery.
- Cedar City UT - UT-14 east to Long Valley Jct. and US-89.
- US-89 south and east to Page AZ and AZ-98.
- AZ-98 southeast to US-160.
- US-160 northeast to Kayenta AZ, Four Corners, Cortez CO.
- US-160 east to Durango, Wolf Creek Pass, La Veta Pass, and CO-12.
Southwest Colorado, what more can we say?
- CO-12 south to Cuchara, Cuchara Pass, and Trinidad and US-160.
Don't miss this loop through some lightly traveled mountain country.
- US-160 east to Walsh CO.
- US-160 east through Kansas to Johnson, Meade, Wellington, Independence,
and Pittsburg.
- US-160 east through Missouri to Lamar and Springfield and US-65.
- US-65 south to US-160.
- US-160 east to Walnut Shade, Forsyth, and Isabella and MO-5.
- MO-5 south to Mountain Home AR.

the interstate. This road is seldom traveled and offers outstanding
western slope scenery.
- US-160 east to Durango, Wolf Creek Pass, La Veta Pass, and CO-12.
