Newsletters Download Troubleshooting

Make sure you haven't lost your internet connection. The newsletter must be downloaded before it can be viewed off-line.

The newsletter is in Acrobat PDF format. Acrobat is a way to photograph pages of an already printed document like an owner's manual. This lets us create both an atractive newsletter and a space-efficient Internet document. You must have a version of this program installed on your hard drive in order to read the newsletter. Clicking the Acrobat icon on the Newsletters and Archives page will take you directly to the Acrobat download site. There's a multi-step precess to actually getting the Acrobat program--choosing an operating system, entering your email address, stuff like that--but it's pretty self-explanatory. Download and install the program.

For Microsoft Internet Explorer users: Right-click on the newsletter link. You'll get a box with several options. Click on the "Save target as..." option. (In Netscape it's called "Save Link as...") You'll get another box, this time with a "drop-down" box across the top. There's a down-arrow to the right of the box. Click on this and choose "Desktop," then click on "Save" in the lower right corner of the box. When you minimize or close down your browser, you'll find the newsletter file on your desktop. Assuming you've already downloaded and installed Acrobat, double-click on this file and Acrobat will launch, displaying the newsletter. You can print the document from Acrobat if you wish.

If these solutions haven't solved your problems, please email me. We'll get 'er worked out.
