Methow Valley WA 

Several 100 mile loops can be enjoyed base camping out of Winthrop Washington.
Spectacular views of  the rugged backbone of the Cascade range, wild flowers to fall colors, and plentiful wildlife abound. 
Hundreds of miles of Forest Service roads could keep you busy for months. Much of this area is in higher elevations and will be inaccessible in winter months.
Summer can be very hot in the low lands to very cool at nights in the upper elevations.
