We build on smaller "Dog Days" events and move this year's event to the heart of Pocahontas County, smack dap in the middle of some of the best riding you'll ever find!. Our rally site in Marlinton, WV offers 70 rooms to accommodate our larger group. Get your vacation request in and book those rooms ASAP! We look forward to see you in the Mountain State this summer.

This motel setting may be rustic, but the accommodations are anything but! Recently renovated, offering in room phones, AC, Cable TV. w/HBO and comfortable beds! Room Rates rates vary but a room with 2 beds/2 people will run $56.99 including tax. You must call the Motel direct - Don't delay, our block will only be held until July! Be sure to mention COG to get these rates when making your reservations.

Rally Fee: Rally Fee (per person): US$25.00 includes Saturday banquet); US$10.00 without Saturday banquet… We can only seat 70 at banquet-after dinner activities will be open to all! Rally fee shown is for COG members, including their immediate family and significant other; add $5 for non?COG members and their guests. Add $5 late fee for all registrations received after 7/16/06. Full refund issued before 7/16/06; refund less $10 after 7/16/06; NO refunds issued after 7/31/06.

Important Note: As indicated on this web page and on the registration form the restaurant told us they have a 70 person limit. We are surprised, but pleased that our registration with dinner has reached the 70 person mark. Registrations were date stamped when received and entered in the database and we will give dinner seating preference to those who pre-registered. If additional seating opens up we will seat attendees first come, first served based on the datestamp in the database.

Rally Sign-in: Information will be available at the rally to direct you to the sign-in table area. There will be fixed hours of operation. Here is the tentative times that registration should be open:
Friday, Aug 4: Late afternoon
Saturday, Aug 5: morning and late afternoon

Riding: Self-guided riding. The Pocahontas County tourism board actively promotes motorcycling in the area and lists a number of rides on their web site. There will be no other route sheets provided, but we will provide hard copies of the Pochantas County rides.

Saturday Dinner: 7:00PM - Bar-B-Que Chicken, Hamburgers with fixings (build your own burger), corn on the cob, baked beans, cole slaw, macaroni salad, cake (cooks choice), rolls, and drink (coffe, tea, or soda). Maximum seatng at the restaurant is 70 people - get your registration in early.

  • Poker Run

  • Bug Splat
    On Saturday we will be playing a riding game, which we call BUG SPLAT. Stop by the sign-in pay a nominal fee get your headlight cleaned and receive a bulls eye to put on your headlight any place you wish. Go on any ride and come back to check-in and have your bugs measured for closeness. Sign-in for bug splat is 8-10 A.M. Check-in for measurement is 4:30-6:30 P.M. Prizes will be awarded at the banquet for the closest splats.

  • Prizes
    All prizes will be given away after Saturday dinner. All registered attendees welcome to attend. Prizes will be awarded to winners of rally games, plus door prizes. Thanks to vendors that have committed to providing prizes.
