Hunt for Red October
October 5 and 6, 1996
Come join fellow COG members for a seasonal ride through gorgeous
southwestern Wisconsin on the hunt for fall colors (albeit perhaps a bit of
a blur). It's always good to get one last "quality" ride in before slowing
down for winter. This is an easy ride from northern Illinois, southern
Wisconsin, and eastern Minnesota and Iowa. There are several meeting
locations along the way to accommodate almost any schedule. So come ride or
just kick tires and "get away"!
- Saturday, October 5th
- 9am leave CITGO gas station restaurant, junction of US10 and US61, north of
Hastings, MN.
- Noon Meet for lunch at Happy Chef, highway 27 exit on Interstate 90, Sparta,
WI.
- 1pm Leave Happy Chef
- 3pm Meet at Frank Lloyd Wright Visitors Center, Spring Green, WI.
- 3:30pm Leave Frank Lloyd Wright Visitors Center
- 5pm Welcome reception at motel. Bring your own beverage. Snacks will be
provided.
- Sunday, October 6th
- 8:30am Breakfast, location TDB
- ??am Departure time and return routes to be determined by individuals based
on their own plans...
