COG Events – Regional & National

Thanks for Visiting the NC Area Home Page!

All regional and national events can be found at the
Concours Owners Group schedule database

Want to join some COG rides?  Click on the link above to find out the “who, what, when, and where” for NC regional rides or COG National rides.  The database is searchable by region.  Easy!

NOTE ABOUT USING THE DATABASE TO LOCATE RECURRING EVENTS:  If you are looking for a recurring (e.g., monthly) NCA event, make sure you enter a start date well in the past.  If the event begins in April and is listed as such, and you are looking at a start date of July 1 in the search engine, you will not see your event!

*    2008 Spider Ride Preliminary information (registration form)

The venue for this year’s Spider Ride will again be Huzzah Valley Resort.  It has all the amenities we require—pavilion, camping, lodging, store, restrooms and showers.

Date

September 18 – 21, 2008

Riding

This area has some of the best riding that Missouri has to offer!  There will not be any organized group rides at this event. You are on your own!  Maps and local information will be available at the rally.

Site

Huzzah Valley Resort (www.huzzahvalley.com, 800-367-4516), Pavilion #1

Located 10 miles east of Steelville MO on MO Route 8 at Huzzah Creek (red barn).

N 037° 57.688, W 091° 12.245

Food

The traditional chili and hot dog dinner will be served on Friday evening.  On Saturday evening we will have an on-site BBQ (pork steaks, beans, slaw and dessert).  Saturday and Sunday mornings we’ll have coffee, tea, cold cereal and sweet rolls.  Soft drinks will be provided all weekend.  We look to be able to provide this at $20 per person.

Camping

Pay your camping fee upon arrival at the store – approximately $10 per person per night.  Flush toilets, sinks and coin showers close by.

Lodging

Huzzah Valley has several lodging choices that are a short walk from the Spider site.  You must provide your own linens (towels, sheets, etc.)  In my opinion they are convenient and clean but rough.  The “Bunkhouse” would be a good option for a group of six.  There are also B&Bs and motels in Steelville, Cuba and Potosi.

If you have any questions feel free to contact either of us.  We’re looking forward to seeing you
there.

There are lots of events listed for the North Central Area in the schedule database.  So many that it is not fair to try and keep events listed on this page!  Don’t miss these opportunities to connect with other COG members!

Have you ever hosted a ride?  Why not give it a try?  If you want
to put something on the schedule, send an email to the
 Webmaster
with the info. If you want to host your first ride and need input
and info, just ask.  We can help!  Member participation is what
makes COG great. Hosting a ride is a great
way to be more involved in your club.
