Sport Touring at its Finest

Pictures taken 30-June, 2007. 'After hours' at Rocky Mountain Kawasaki in Longmont, CO. Great staff, sales, parts, and management, for letting Rob and I take a peek (don't tell management we were there, or sales either). I think the other bikes in the picture are called cruisers. Too bad a lot of places don't allow "Crusin"

Rob trying the new C-14 on for size. Rob is 6' 5" tall, with a 36" inseam. Note his knees still don't touch the fairing
From the other side.
Yers truly.
And again (what a ham. And bald too ;) )
From the RH side, looking back. Belly pan area. Note the single drain plug, and the spin-on filter. Oil changes should be a breeze

Ultra light weight 21dB horn (beep-beep).
Note the radiator too.

Looks better in person ;)

Headlight is dual H-4's with two small lo-watt running lights (DRL) in the center of the headlight cluster.

LH grip. Note the European type passing switch on the front of the switch cluster?

Me thinks the initial production run of Concours-14's will be made for all countries. USA, EU, AUS, ...

Them bar end weights look familiar?

A shot down the stem area.

RH side.

Note the adjuster for rear shock damping... or is it preload? Way techie for me, but there's a knob there. Also note:

1) Lug for the saddlebag.
2) Up front at the edge of the fairing, above the shifter, the idle speed adjust (flex cable, clipped to another hose).
3) The drain (?) reservoir container for the throttle bodies(?).
4) The cast 'nub' just in back of the rear foot peg. This 'catches' the passengers heel, prevents melted boot on the muffler. Well, it does on the other side anyway. Is this an OEM farkle?

See above. Shifter linkage (shifter height) is adjustable like the C-10. This one looks to adjust easier though. And it looks to be less expensive to replace too.

Shot inside the rear of the RH air exhaust. Note the braiding on the rear portion of a radiator hose.

That's my Ford outside the window, really! The color of the C-14 matches perfectly. Silverdammit.

Stem LH side. Do the black screw heads on the stem head look familiar?

Rear seat length. Dummy end of the tap is purd near the rear edge of the tank. Seat of the pants (sorry, bad pun) the C-14 seat is longer (pilot *and* passenger), but slightly narrower.

I've been running a Russell for several years, so...

Just step on it, it's *that* easy.
Rob demonstrates wearing squid gear.
