A quick book review: I recently purchased "Proficient Motorcycling" by David
L. Hough, who writes a monthly article by the same name in Motorcycle
Consumer News. The 256-page book, with chapters entitled Risk, Motorcycle
Dynamics, Urban Traffic Survival, Booby Traps, Special Situations, and
Sharing the Ride, is full of well written information, sharp diagrams, and
good photos. Hough has been writing for about 30 years, knows his stuff,
and knows how to write it so we can all understand it. He works as a
technical illustrator, so the diagrams, photos, and layout of the book are first rate. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to improve
