NW Area "Bun Cooler"
May 17-19, 1996

The rally will not be in Idaho this year, but instead will take place in the Okanogon Valley of North Central Washington. Great roads and scenery along with a sparse population and Indian Reservation casinos make this an ideal rally site.

Accommodations:

As of this writing there are ample rooms, but they will fill up fast. The Omak Inn has a liberal cancellation policy (anytime before 4 PM of the day of the reservation). Therefore, please make a reservation NOW even if you are just thinking about going.

The rally is scheduled for 17 - 19 May, but it is real informal so you can join in at any time. There is no charge for attending; however, no doubt we will all join up on Saturday night for some sort of communal dining, and we may ask that you pay up front, depending on what kind of plans are made.

Some of the greatest motorcycle roads are in this area: the North Cascades Highway terminates in Omak, and about 45 miles North is the famous Crows' Nest Highway of Britsh Columbia. Also nearby: Grand Coulee Dam, Banks Lake, the Columbia Gorge, Sherman Pass, the Orient Run, and a little known road to the old mining town of Nighthawk that's so damn twisty you can see your own tail lights. You might want to check the Okanogan State Forest for details about the area.

The Casino at the Cedars has bingo, slots, roulette, blackjack et al. This area is in the rain shadow of the Cascades and enjoys dry, sunny weather.

***Please note the following***
No doubt some riding will take place in Canada. Do not even THINK about carrying a handgun across the border! Canadians are REAL serious about that, and if you get caught with a hand gun, you will be old and grey by the time you get out, except Al, who is already old and grey. Jordan Krusoff, a.k.a. The Sage, lives right on the border and will gladly store anyone's weapon in his safe should you so desire.

Also, rally attendees will be given an information sheet and will be asked to sign a statement attesting they have read and understood this information. The statement merely says you read the information; it does not commit you, nor relieve the rally planners of, any responsibities or obligations. If you become a hood ornament on Oscar Grope's Winnebago, your survivors can still sue me. All I ask is that I get to go to the Poor House with the satisfaction of being able to say "I told him so!" If you decline to sign this statement, you will not be able to partake in the drawing for fabulous prizes.
