FRISCO / COPPER MOUNTAIN- West on I-70 to Hwy 91; West on 91 about 12 miles to Road 714, near the Climax Mine tailing ponds, just below Fremont Pass. Go right on Rd 714 to Camp Hale, site of the 10th Mountain Division training camp during WWII. Go North on Hwy 24 to Red Cliff; Go Right on Rd 708 –Shrine Pass Road; this 12.5 mile gravel road takes you over 11,089 foot Shrine Pass and comes out at the summit of Vail Pass on I-70. Return East to Frisco.

Note: Streets and Trips isn't able to show Road 714 across the mountains. Garmin map does, but is more difficult to read. Here's a good example of needing to use the extra resources.
