This route along the Colorado River is highlighted in "Backroads of Colorado". After a 40 mile ride north
on CO-9 towards Kremmling, Trough Road will take you on an easy wandering route along the river. Along the way
you can take a side trip up to the old town of Radium. Then north of McCoy Colorado River Road will take
you along for some more western Colorado scenery. Side trips can be taken to Sweetwater Lake and Heart Lake. These easy
roads should be in great shape even in early June (although your results may vary).
