Breckenridge - Boreas Pass - Como
About 70 miles

Microsoft Streets & Trips 2006 file

Travel south from Frisco on CO-9 to Breckenridge. At the south edge of town, turn east on Boreas Pass Road, stop at the railroad display, then follow the signs to the pass. The road is a nice, easy ride, although it may be blocked by snow and will have muddy sections because of snow melt. It follows the old railbed, passes by a restored water tower, winds through aspens and rock cuts, crosses the Continental Divide above timber line where there is an old station house, then descends to Como where you can visit an old hotel and see the old round house. Return via US-285 to Fairplay and CO-9 to Hoosier Pass, Breckenridge, and Frisco.

(Note: On my M&S 2006 map, and maybe yours too, "Boreas Pass" is shown off the route. But that really is Georgia Pass, which can be reached by traveling a fairly easy gravel road north from Jefferson.)
