The Lodge features 250 guest rooms with cable TV, a telephone
with voicemail, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and
bath accessories. 23 secluded private cabins and cottages, with
fireplaces, linens, and full kitchens, housekeeping services also
available.

Phones: Some work, some don't at Canaan Valley Resort. Those
that work: Verizon & Cingular. Those that we heard may not
work: Nextel & T-Mobile.
Computers:
All Lodge rooms and a few cabins/cottages have high-speed Internet
access. There is one computer in the main lodge lobby available
to anyone who may want to check their e-mail.
We've arranged
special rates for lodge rooms and cabins. Also note that the cabins
are weekly rentals only during the summer. Cabins are within walking
distance of the main lodge; camping is within the park and less
than 2 miles from the lodge.

Camping
at Canaan Valley State Park
At this
time the Campgrounds is a sellout as far as "Hosts"
go, but there is still room to place about 10 to 15 Guests to
Share as tenters on the Hosted sites.
One of the
reasons we’ve chosen to hold our rally at Canaan Valley
Resort is that they have a camping area within the state park,
only 1.5 miles from the Rally HQ at the Lodge. The campground
offers 34 wooded sites with full hookups. The sites can accommodate
RV’s, trailers, or tent camping. Some campground amenities
include a comfort station with laundry and shower facilities
and a dumping station for self-contained units. Ice and firewood
are available for purchase at the Campground Store. Leashed
pets are
permitted in the campground in accordance with Park Rules.
As an added
benefit, campground guests can enjoy the outdoor pool at the
Lodge, weather permitting, at no additional cost. Discount cards
for the indoor pool and health club area may still be obtained
during your stay at Canaan Valley, please inquire at check in.
** How
to make camping reservations **
To better
serve our membership, COG has secured exclusive use of the campground
by reserving all the sites for the duration of the rally. By
doing this we are able to offer these sites at a discounted
rate and provide campers a convenient location close to the
rally headquarters. COG’s exclusive use of the campground
is limited to Tuesday through Saturday (Departing Sunday
by 11:00am). All reservations for these dates must be submitted
to go through the 2007 Rally Camping Coordinator, J.R. Healy.

Village Inn
The Village
Inn is the closest motel to Canaan Valley Resort, and within
a two-minute drive. Located in the heart of the Valley, the
Village Inn sits on over 10 acres and offers an 18-unit motel,
a 4-unit apartment building, a chalet, a cabin, an 18-hole miniature
golf, and all within walking distance to restaurants, shops
and many activities.
Blackwater
Falls State Park Lodge & Camping
The next
closest back up for camping is at Blackwater
Falls State Park (10 miles from Canaan Valley). The 65-unit
tent and trailer campground has individual sites with centrally
located hot showers, Laundromat and dumping station. A total
of 30 sites have electric hookups. One tent or camping unit
per site. Blackwater Falls State park also has a 54 room lodge.
Each air-conditioned guest room has a private bath, phone and
color television.
