ERC Registration...
How Are Your Riding Skills?

The 2004 COG National Rally Committee is now accepting registrations for the two MSF Experienced Rider Courses (ERC) being offered at the 2004 "Flood City National." Each course may have up to 12 riders. The courses are being offered to rally participants free of cost by the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program. They will be conducting the all new ERC curriculum. (All new exercises)

Participants were chosen with a random drawing of those people that expressed interest to participate. We have also selected some "wait-list" alternates as well, in case any of the first 24 can't attend. Questions? Send an e-mail (Please include "ERC" in the subject line.)

All ERC riders must have the following items with them to attend the course:

Long sleeves
Long pants
Boots, over the ankle
3/4 or full face helmet
Eye protection
Full fingered gloves
Bike registration
Drivers licence w/ motorcycle endorsement
Proof of insurance

Here are a few more things that you may want to bring with you:

Sunscreen
Bottled water or other beverages
Spray bottle filled with water (to spritz yourself - it really helps!)
Rain gear
Anything else you have to help keep cool (Five hours in a parking lot in July can get pretty warm!)

Directions from Rally HQ to the ERC.

Start: COG Rally HQ (Holiday Inn)
Get on Market St and drive southwest for about 167 ft
Turn right onto Vine St and go about 0.25 mi
Turn left onto Hwy 403 S and go about 5.5 mi
Take the PA-56 E/US-219 S ramp to the right
towards Somerset/Windber for about 0.9 mi
Take the PA-756 ramp to the right towards Elton/Geiston for about 0.2 mi
Turn left onto Elton Rd and go about .75 mi
Turn right onto Vo-Tech Dr and go about .6 mi
Turn left onto Schoolhouse Rd and go about .25 mi
Arrive at the Univ. of Pittsburgh
Go through the front gate, make the first left and watch for the first large parking lot on your left.
